The row between Minority Welfare officials on the issue of distribution of powers is intensifying day by day affecting the performance of minority institutions. The tug of war between Secretary Minority welfare Syed Omer Jaleel and Director Minority Welfare Jalaluddin Akber finally reached Chief Minister’s office and Chief Minister’s Secretary is likely to speak to both the officials in this connection. Subordinates are in a confused state as to whose order they should follow.
It must be noted that it is being tried to slash the powers of Director Minority Welfare’s powers in a planned manner. His powers are being challenged by declaring various institutions as autonomous.
