Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today called upon the people to participate in the “Praja Sadhikara Survey” aimed at eradicating poverty and improving financial imbalance.

Holding a tele-conference from his official camp office with TDP leaders, people’s representatives and party workers, Chandrababu Naidu, who is also party’s national president, said the party workers have to play a major role and greater responsibility to make the program a success. The Chief Minister today launched the 22-day survey to collect socio-economic data of the people.

“The details of each household will help the State government to take up more developmental programs and ensure that the fruits reach the right beneficiaries,” he said, adding that it was the responsibility of the officials to remove misconceptions among the people regarding the smart pulse survey.

Asserting that the survey will be a milestone in the history of Andhra Pradesh, the Chief Minister said the officials should lay down a clear roadmap for its successful completion. “The officials should make note of the number of houses located in an area, the number of enumerators to be involved and the time needed for the completion of the survey,” he added.

Right from Aadhar number to mobile number, each and every detail pertaining to a household will be collected. The government has provided tabs to the enumerators, who are pressed into service in the survey. The survey will help solve many problems on a real-time basis and the officials should make sure there was no shortage of devices and enumerators, the Chief Minister advised all the departments to take part in this survey and coordinate with the officials at all levels.

Naidu said he has concentrated on the administration so far and now he would focus on the party activities for next six months. He underscored need of support of over 80 per cent. “We should work keeping in view the long-term political needs with value-based politics. He urged party leaders and workers to participate in the survey and make it successful. (NSS)
