Naidu Asks Bankers to Work Honestly to Implement Credit Plan

The Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said that the annual credit plan should not be a mere act but bankers should work towards fast and honest implementation to achieve financial targets.

Speaking at the State Level Bankers’ committee meeting today, he further asked the SLBC to extend  help to  the prioritized sectors so as to put the state on the development track. The government accords top priority for the development and welfare of the state and it  has established Kapu and Brahmin corporations and introduced a slew of schemes to serve the marginalized communities, said the Chief Minister.

The government is very keen in providing gas connection to every household by next year and ensure that rural people get power, water, gas, cable connections along with other amenities to the people of the state.

Services of Self – Help group women working as bank correspondents will be implemented on a pilot basis in Krishna district from June 1, he said.

The government is determined to make agriculture profitable and ensure the state is free from drought, he said and added that under ‘Panta Sanjeevani’ initiative, the state was successful in constructing 10 lakh rain water harvesting pits and these initiatives have ensured an increase in groundwater levels by 3 tmc in Rayalaseema.(NSS)
