Naidu holds meeting with Telangana TDP leaders

Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP President N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday held a meeting with the leaders of Telangana TDP and asked them to strengthen the party across the State.

The meeting was attended by senior leaders including Telangana TDP President L. Ramana, Working President A. Revanth Reddy and M. Narsimhulu. Addressing the meeting Naidu alleged that TRS Government was trying to defame the TDP in Telangana State and it has been linking the party for all wrong reasons. He asked the State leaders to foil such attempts and explain TDP’s contribution to the development of Telangana.

Naidu said that he treats both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh equally and would strive hard to ensure development of both Telugu States. He said that the TRS Government has been targeting TDP on the issues of irrigation projects and High Court bifurcation. Stating that the TDP Government in AP was causing any obstructions to Telangana’s irrigation projects, he said that the issue of division of High Court pertains to the Central Government and he has no role to play.

He said that the TDP should expose the failures of TRS Government as the Congress party was almost wiped off from the Telangana. He said Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao had offered to merge TRS with Congress if Telangana was formed. However, now the situation has turned reserve and Congress party was getting merged into TRS. (INN)
