Naidu Offers 200-Acre Land For MSME Industries

Giving a boost to the MSME industry in the state, Andhra Pradesh government has come forward to set up a 200-acre model industrial township near Vijayawada.
The township will house infrastructure facilities, skill development training centre and accommodation for the workers. The government will provide land to MSME industries in the township. The government has already identified land near Veerapanenigudem, Gannavaram.
In a meeting with MSME representatives, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu assured them that the government will render continuous support to the industries and provide all assistance for setting up units in the state.
Apart from allotting land, the Chief Minister said that the township will be provided with uninterrupted power and water supply and well-connected with the highway. A special officer will be appointed to monitor the infrastructure, permissions and other requirements for the MSME units, he said.
He suggested the MSMEs to ensure the model industrial township will set new benchmarks from planning layouts to world-class infrastructure.
In this regard, the representatives requested the Chief Minister to allot land at a lower price instead on a lease basis. This, they said, will help in setting up more units and thereby generating better employment opportunities. The Chief Minister responded positively to their request to construct a flyover connecting Gannavaram and Veerapanenigudem to cut down traffic. Minister Palle Raghunatha Reddy, Secretary to CM Sai Prasad and other officials were present.(NSS)
