Naidu unhappy over party MPs stand in RS

AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu expressed displeasure over the party MPs for not taking aggressive stand during the debate on special category status (SCS) in Rajya Sabha.

Naidu, met party MPs here on Sunday to chalk future course of action in the wake of Centre denying SCS to the state, reportedly said that the MPs failed to convey the aspirations of the people to the Centre.

“Jaitley’s reply on the issue in Rajya Sabha boiled my blood though I wasn’t in the House. But the TD MPs who were in the house did not react in the way they should have react. You let down the people,” Naidu reacted.

Naidu said that the party should go to any extent for the interests of the State.

Ministers A Gajapatiraju and Sujana Chowdhary said that they were ready to quit the Union Cabinet if the party wanted the to do so for State’s cause. To this, Naidu is said to have suggested them that quitting posts was not the solution and said that the party should pressurise the Centre on the issue. (INN)
