Najeeb Ahmed case: High court orders Delhi police to investigate

New Delhi: 27-year-old Najeeb’s mother, has filed a petition in Delhi High court in order to investigate the disappearing of her son from his hostel. Who was alleged in a row with members of ABVP.

According to a news report of DC, his mother, Fatima Nafees has appealed to the court to form SIT for investigating the matter. Delhi High court has directed the Police to record the statements of the witnesses who were present when he went missing.

A sealed packed report of call details, and the laptop have been submitted by the police to the court. The court has asked them to collect the statement of the driver, who drove Najeeb from JNU to Jamia that evening when he went missing.

The next hearing of the court will be on 12 May. The court had already been rapped the police for not bringing any results since February. The police were also asked to conduct the polygraphic test, as there were no results with the investigation being done.
