Nalgonda leaders’ “boxing”: AICC seeks report from TPCC chief

The All India Congress Committee (AICC) reportedly took serious note on the scuffle between Nalgonda Congress leaders in presence of AICC general secretary Digvijay Singh during Nalgonda District Congress party review meeting held at Gandhi Bhavan on April 21. The Party high command directed TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy to submit a report on the murky episode.

It may be recalled that the Party leader Guduru Narayana Reddy expressed his unhappiness stating that Rajgopal Reddy was the reason for his not getting ticket in 2014 elections in the presence of Digvijay Singh.

Reacting to the remark, Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy, it is learnt, stated that he was the MP then and hence he interfered in the ticket issuance. The discussion took a serious turn and Rajgopal Reddy allegedly beat Guduru Narayana Reddy and the latter too assaulted Rajagopal Reddy in retaliation. (NSS)
