Former Prime Minister P.V.Narasimha Rao, wanted the construction of the Ram temple at Ayodhya. He wanted to get it done through a non-political trust headed by Sringeri seer Sri Bharati Theertha Swamy as chairman and had also prepared a master plan.
This has been revealed by the former Media Advisor and Additional Secretary to Prime Minister, P.V.R.K. Prasad after his book ‘Wheels behind the Veil’ was released. The book, published by Emesco, contains the experiences of Mr. Prasad who served eight Chief Ministers and a Prime Minister in various capacities.
Addressing a crowd gathered at the Lalitha Kala Thoranam here on Friday, held in honour of Sringeri Seer Mr. Prasad revealed the details of the plan conceived by Narasimha Rao.
