Narasimhans take dip in river Krishna at Vijayawada

Vijayawada: Governor of two Telugu States E S L Narasimhan along with his wife Vimala Narasimhan today had a holy dip in the river Krishna on the occasion of Krishna pushkaralu. Narasimhans had a dip at Punnami ghat and later had a darshan of goddess Durga atop the Indrakiladi hills. Temple EO Suryakumari and priests welcomed the Governor.
Narasimhans performed pujas in the river and had ‘pushkar snanam’ (holy bath). Endowments Minister Pydikondala Manikyala Rao, Agriculture Minister Prathipati Pulla Rao and officials accompanied the Governor.
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu called on the Governor and had talk with the latter for some 20 minutes. Naidu reported to have discussed with the Governor on the arrangements made for Pushkaralu, current affairs and problems that arose out of bifurcation of united State.
AP Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, Devineni Umamaheshwara Rao and others also called on the Governor. It was a courtesy call. (NSS)
