Narayana says he is not drunk, slams KCR

CPI leader Dr K Narayana today clarified that he was not drunk when he shook his legs during New Year Day celebrations conducted by city party unit on January 1.

Addressing the media along with CPI Telangana secretary Chada Venkat Reddy, Narayana said, “I am also a human-being and not an animal to be away from our culture and traditions. I honour our culture and traditions and dancing with children to celebrate the New Year 2016 is not at all wrong”, he said.

Referring to the recent Election Commission meeting, Narayana said he suggested in the meeting to offer political parties proportionate voting chance in the elections. The Election Commission has agreed to the suggestion which is ethically correct. He also slammed the BJP-led Centre for not introducing Bills for the cause of the larger chunk of the society. The CPI will launch protests against the “anti-people” policies of the government at the national level, he said. He also criticized Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for doing good and bad simultaneously. While Ayutha Chandi Yagam was good, purchasing political leaders and encouraging defections for MLC polls was bad, he added. Chada Venkat Reddy also found fault with the TRS Government for ‘poaching’. (NSS)
