Farmers Association of Naya Qila, Golkonda
Fort has requested the TRS Government in the State to render justice to the farmers whose lands were acquired by the Government in 2006.
Association General Secretary Ilyas Khan said that agricultural lands of the farmers of Naya Qila, on the outskirts of Hyderabad, were taken over to facilitate construction of Golf Course. The Government was hand in glove with the Golf Course Association in this illegal action. To rehabilitte the farmers whose lands were acquired, a rehabilitation plan was mooted in 2013 and a land was identified at Moinabad for handing over to the victims under settlement. Unfortunately, however, there was no progress in the process of handing over land to the victims. He urged the Govertnment to provide the identified land t Moinabad to the victims at the erliest and save the lives and livelihood of the affected farmers of Golkonda area. (NSS) .
