Nayani flays Naidu, Jagan; Grand TS celebrations on June 2

Home Minister Nayani Narsimha Reddy today ridiculed that YSRCP chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy has taken up three-day fake Jala Deeksha as it is of no use.

The Home Minister, who chaired a cabinet sub-committee meeting along with ministers available at Secretariat here on Wednesday, rubbished Jagan’s protest meant for political mileage. He alleged that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Jaganmohan Reddy were enacting dramas for diverting public attention from their problems. “The two Andhra leaders are carrying out misinformation campaigning against Telangana”, he fumed. “We are not constructing any new projects, but only completing the works on old ones, which is our right”, the minister asserted. “Despite their attempts, the works on the projects will not be stalled”, he remarked.

Referring to arrangements being made for State Formation Day celebrations, Nayani said the State Government was conducting celebrations on June 2 across the State in a grand manner. “We have discussed the programs to be taken up on the formation day in all districts, villages and towns. Another meeting will be conducted on May 26 to complete the process of arrangements and steps to be taken”, he said.

The government will select some of the eminent personalities, including those intellectuals, people who fought in 1969 Telangana Movement to be feted on the occasion in Hyderabad and also in districts. “As we have achieved statehood after 14 long years of protracted struggle, it was decided to felicitate the kin of Telangana martyrs”, he stated. He also said people are supporting Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for development programs. Telangana Government is surpassing others States in India by implementing welfare schemes, he claimed.
