Nepal Deputy PM expresses discontent over formation of Federalism Implementation Restructuring Directive Committee

Dang(Nepal) : Nepal Deputy Prime Minister Kamal Thapa has expressed dissatisfaction over the formation of the High-Level Federalism Implementation and Restructuring Directive Committee.

The Nepal Government on Friday formed the committee to make policies and rules necessary to carry out the restructuring process as per the Constitution issued in September last year.

The Himalayan Times reports that he was speaking at an interaction organised by the Reporters’ Club in Dang on Saturday.

Thapa said that he was not satisfied with the formation of High-Level Federalism Implementation and Restructuring Directive Committee as Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development was not included in it.

Thapa added that he would discuss the matter with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli anytime soon.

Deputy Prime Minister said that the most important ministry to implement federalism is the Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development and the issue

Moreover, he said, that the issue can be resolved if he talks to the Prime Minister once.(ANI)
