Nepal PM launches ‘Cleanliness, Greenery Promotion’in Kathmandu

Kathmandu: Nepal Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli has launched a ‘Cleanliness, Greenery Promotion and Garden Management Campaign, 2016′ by planting a red sandalwood sapling on the premises of Singha Durbarin Kathmandu.

Binod Bahadur Kunwar, Joint Secretary at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, said the campaign was launched with the objective of developing a culture of cleanliness and greenery promotion on the premises of the administrative headquarters and all government offices throughout the country.

On the occasion, saplings of various trees were planted and around 52 trees were planted,reported The Himalayan Times.

Best practices of the government offices will inspire to promote cleanliness and greenery,’ Oli said.
