Nepalese women rape case: Congress demands Saudi diplomat’s arrest

New Delhi: Congress leader Manish Tewari on Wednesday demanded the arrest of the Saudi diplomat, who allegedly abducted and raped two Nepalese women in Gurgaon.

“It is extremely unfortunate. His diplomatic immunity must be stripped, he must be arrested immediately and he must be subjected to the process of investigation,” Tewari told ANI.

Tewari further said that a lookout notice must be issued to the diplomat so that he is not allowed to escape from India under any circumstances.

“Various other countries have acted with zero tolerance on this question, so under all circumstances whosoever this gentleman is, whatever diplomatic immmunity he may have, it should be stripped, and he should be immediately arrested,” he added. (ANI)
