New DGP to work from Vijayawada

New DGP of Andhra Pradesh, N Sambasiva Rao told media persons that he would be discharging his duties from Vijayawada. Mr Rao will succeed JV Ramudu and will take charge on July 23, sources informed.

Sambasiva Rao, IPS, has taken over as in-charge DGP from Ramudu, who was relieved of the position two days prior to his retirement.

The new DGP’s working from the new Andhra Capital region will add enthusiasm to AP staff returning from Hyderabad. Prior to this appointment, Rao was the Managing Director of APSRTC. (INN)
