The State Human Rights Commission on Tuesday directed the Cyberabad Police Commissioner and Vice-Chancellor of University of Hyderabad to submit report on the suicide of Rohit Vemula, a Dalit research scholar.
The directions were issued after the Commission accepted a petition filed by Telangana SC Commission Chairman Pidmarthi Ravi. The Commission has asked the Commissioner and VC to submit the report before February 1st. (INN)
