London: The Oscar-winning actress Nicole Kidman says she is trying not to be an “intensely emotional” parent to her kids because she thinks it is not good for them.
The 49-year-old star, who adopted Isabella, 23, and Connor, 21, with her ex husband Tom Cruise, and has Sunday, eight, and Faith, five, with husband Keith Urban, said she is having a hard time balancing her emtoions for her four kids, reported FemaleFirst.
“It’s not necessarily great for a child to have an intensely emotional mother. And I don’t want to be a helicopter parent so I’m trying to balance the intensity of the love. It’s really hard,” she said.
Kidman and Urban, 48, who celebrated ten years of their marriage in June, said they are happy that they reached the milestone and their relationship is even stronger than ever.
“That’s really big for us. It was really up and down for the first three months. We’ve been through a lot for ten years.
“And we’re stronger than ever. I say that while touching wood, and no way in a boastful way. I just say it with wonder. Absolute wonder…,” she added.
