No need of an agreement with Maharashtra when their land is not submerging: Uttam

Making it clear that the Congress party leaders will not be afraid of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s threatening, TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy lashed out at KCR questioning as to what was the need to enter into an agreement with the Maharashtra government when there was no submerge of Maharashtra land in Thummidihatti project if it was constructed with the height of 148 meters.

Speaking to the media immediately after Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s criticism on Congress party leaders at public meeting held at Begumpet Airport here on Wednesday, Uttam said that KCR achieved nothing while entering into an agreement with the Maharashtra government. KCR mortgaged the future of Telangana at the hands of Maharashtra permanently, he lamentd.

 

Demanding detailed project reports (DPRs) on the redesigned projects, Uttam asked the Chief Minister to tell details of to be irrigated land. He said that the Congress party leaders will not be afraid of Chief Minister’s threatening statement and reminded that he was worked with army. He alleged that the Chief Minister was speaking true lies on irrigation projects saying that the Congress party will continue its fight on TRS government in regard to irrigation projects. (NSS)
