Hyderabad: Panchayat Raj Minister K. Tarakarama Rao denied the allegations of State Government calling tenders by increasing estimated abnormally in works of intake wells, pipe lines and filter beds under water grid programme.
In his written reply to a question raised by Congress MLAs Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu and S.A. Sampath Kumar in Telangana Legislative Assembly on Tuesday, KTR said estimated have been prepared as per standard Schedule of Rates approved by Board of Chief Engineers and tenders were invited as per departmental procedures. “The estimates are reviewed and vetting done by W.A.P.C.O.S. which is a Government of India undertaking,” he said.
