“I am not afraid of police threats” – Kodandaram

Hyderabad: Chairman of Telangana Police Joint Action Committee, Prof. Kodandaram informed that he is receiving threats from police and said that he is not afraid of such threats. He declared that he would organize a protest rally from Sundaraiah Vigyana Kendram to Indira Park with unemployed youths on 22nd February.

He told that Telangana Movement was started against the injustices in employment. After many sacrifices, Telangana Movement became successful. TRS had made a promise in its election manifesto to provide jobs to unemployed youths but even after the lapse of 32 months, only 15000 jobs were provided. Many youths from district have obtained coaching at various institutions in the city and they are not in a position to go back to their places. Much representation was made to the Govt. for providing jobs but it was no avail.

He severely condemned the attitude of the police and said that he is not affair of police threats. In a democratic setup, every citizen has a right to form voluntary organization and protest for which it is not essential to take police permission.
