Sleuths of Osmania University Police Station this morning nabbed a notorious snatcher Mohd Jahangeer alias Parvez Baba, 30, at Street No. 8, Habsiguda, and seized two motorcycles and gold ornaments weighing 28.25 tolas from his possession.
The accused was involved in several cases committed at Chandrayangutta, OU Sity, Nallakunta, Amberpet, Afzalgunj, Himayat Nagar, Humayun Nagar, Chaderghat and so on. The accused, a hardcore criminal, was involved in 20 snatching cases under Hyderabad and Cyberabad police limits. After his release from jail in January this year, he again started committing similar offences. He had lifted two motorcycles and used them for commission of offences. The accused used to target women moving lonely and commit snatching of gold chains.
This morning during vehicle checking, the sleuths apprehended the accused on suspicion as he was not having vehicle documents. When interrogated in the Police Station, he confessed to his criminal activities.
