New York : American multinational online transportation network company Uber has rolled out a new rule by which they would be charging passengers if they are unable to arrive within two minutes of booking the Cab.
“Your time is valuable, so it’s frustrating when riders run late or cancel when you’re already at the pickup location. We have been trying something new paying drivers for wait times that exceed two minutes. In the cities where we’ve been testing this, we’ve seen that riders are more likely to be prompt,” Uber wrote in a blog post.
“We will be expanding the policy to a dozen US cities this month, with more coming soon,” the company added.
Uber said it has taken this move to make ‘driving more empowering and worth your while’, the independent reports. (ANI)
