NRIs also desire reservations: Govt. to fulfill promise – Zahid Ali Khan

Hyderabad: Muslims of Telangana are being deprived in the fields of Education and Employment day by day and going astray from development. Depleting opportunities of jobs is dumping the Muslim youths into the darkness of the future. According to the proverb, “A moment’s laps will result in the punishment of centuries”, Muslim community is falling prey to backwardness. NRIs in Gulf countries are also worried. New rules and policies of the gulf countries are increasing anxiety of the Muslims.

A review meeting was held at Siasat’s Office yesterday to take stock of the situation of jobs in Middle East. Letters and E-mails received from the foreign countries were discussed in which greater applause was noticed in support of 12% reservations for Muslims. NRIs appealed to the Muslims of Telangana to make this campaign a success.

He also requested the Govt. to fulfill the heartfelt desire and demand of the Muslims.

Mr. Amer Ali Khan told that the Muslims of Telangana were under the influence of the Muslim Kingship even after the passage of 20 years after independence. Employment opportunities in the Middle East rescued the Muslims of this region. Poor Muslims went to the Middle East with the help of their small savings and improved the economic the status of their families. Now that the conspiracies that are being hatched and the plans that are being made at international levels, NRIs are also worried. It has now become to go to foreign countries for getting jobs. In such a situation, if the Govt. of Telangana provides 12% reservations to Muslims, it would help the community. The Muslim youths would derive benefit out of overseas scholarship schemes and fees reimbursement schemes which would develop the economic status of the Muslims.

Mr. Amer Ali Khan pointed out that NRIs, especially the youths are appreciating the campaign started by Siasat Urdu Daily for 12% reservation to Muslims. The parents are forced to send their children abroad for getting good jobs but in the Middle East also the situation is becoming adverse. He lamented that the advantages of domestic industries are also getting minimized.

On this occasion, Mr. Amer Ali Khan mentioned his visits to Kareem Nagar and Khammam. He informed that at village level, in Kareem Nagar district, many Muslim families depend on beedi manufacturing to earn their bread. Men collect beedi leaves and women manufactures beedi but these workers are also worried now.
