Job Description:
Trouble-shooting guide (TSG) creation expert
Work with the Monitoring Expert
Document and create the TSGs required for when an alert is sent to the monitoring system
Help set requirements for monitoring solution
Owns training of other staff on the specific hardware for our environments (Fortinet, A10, Cisco)
Trouble-shoot Firewalls, Load Balancers, Switches, Routers
Determine root cause of network outages
Work with systems engineers to determine network problems in data flows
Prefer experience with Cisco Nexus, but Cisco switching and routing accepted
Require experience with either F5 or A10 hardware load balancing
Require experience with at least one of the following (or similar) application layer firewalls (Juniper, Checkpoint, Fortinet, Palo Alto, etc). Prefer Fortinet experience. May be ok with Cisco ASA
Closely partner with internal support teams
Outstanding customer service/focus and communication skills
