Against all odds: Samosa maker’s son secures top rank in EAMCET

Hyderabad: Financial crisis couldn’t deter Vabilisetti Mohan Abhyas, son of Subba Rao a samosa maker from working hard and taking top rank in EAMCET. Mohan a resident of Kukatpally Housing Board in Hyderabad has bagged fifth rank in Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test that goes with his first rank in Andhra Pradesh EAMCET, the results of which was announced in May first week. Besides, he also grabbed All India sixth rank and South India first rank in Joint Entrance Examination Mains.

According to sources, his father Subba Rao sells samosas to make both ends meet in Kukatpally and in surrounding areas. Mohan too helps his parents in making samosas. Now Mohan aims at joining B.E (Engineering Physics) in IIT Chennai based on JEE advanced that was held on May 21. Mohan’s ultimate goal is to become a scientist by doing research studies in physics.
