Bhubaneswar: Odisha government has signed MoUs with SBI Capital Markets Ltd (SBI Caps) and state-owned Metal Scrap Trade Corporation (MSTC) for the auction of mines, sources said.
The state government has also approved tender documents of two iron ore mines, which would be placed for auctioning in the first phase.
A total of 12 mines would be auctioned, of which Differential Global Positioning System (DGPS) survey of two is yet to be completed, officials said.
“We hope in the next week government notification will be out for auction of two iron ore mines,” state Mines director Deepak Mohanty said, adding that the MoUs were signed yesterday.
