OGH reconstruction – Precast technology to be used

Hyderabad: Govt. of Telangana has decided to construct the new building for Osmania General Hospital within 18 months for which precast technology would be used. The officials of Health Department told that in order to complete the construction work of OGH building, Govt. of Telangana has decided to make use of precast technology. It will not affect the quality of construction. This decision has been taken after consulting the experts.

 

Dr. V. N. Ramana Rao, a specialist of Structural Engineering told that there will not be any obstruction on the spot of construction and the quality will be better since the blocks would be prepared before hand in the factory. They will be brought to the spot and aligned. This will save time. This style of construction would be different from the routine method. Such buildings do not require maintenance to a larger extend. An official of Health Department told that there won’t be any sound pollution and it will also save the building from fire accidents.
