Ola cab driver arrested for ‘molesting’ Additional Sessions Judge

New Delhi: Following a complaint by an Additional Sessions Judge (ASJ) of the Tis Hazari Court, an Ola cab driver has been arrested and booked on the charges of molestation among others, said police sources.

The incident took place in North Delhi’s Roop Nagar area on Wednesday.

The driver, who has been identified as Sandeep, was arrested from Gurugram.

According to the complainant (ASJ), she booked an Ola cab and she asked the driver to wait at a marketplace.

She alleged that the driver waited for two minutes, then started shouting, threw her bag and abused her.

A case under Sections 354 A (making sexually coloured remarks), 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult modesty of a woman) and 427 (mischief causing damage to the amount of fifty rupees) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) was registered at the Roop Nagar Police Station and the driver was arrested.
