“Old age is a problem. Stop rubbish against women and a Faqir”: Rishi Kapoor to Shankaracharya

Mumbai: Veteran Actor Rishi Kapoor on Tuesday slammed Shankaracharya Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati for his “outrageous and appalling” remarks against women’s entry into temples and spiritual leader Sai Baba.

The actor who is very active on Twitter said that the seer is uttering rubbish about women and Sai Baba.

“Old age is a problem. You are talking rubbish against women and a Faqir,” wrote Rishi Kapoor on his official Twitter account.

As per India.com, the 63-year-old actor advised Shankaracharya to watch his latest movie and take pleasure in the last phase of his life instead of speaking rubbish. “See Kapoor & Sons and talk porn, hash, love of family. Enjoy your climax!” stated Rishi Kapoor.

The seer stroke a controversy by saying that drought-like situation in Maharashtra is a result of worshipping “unworthy” Shirdi Sai Baba.

He also said tha women’s entry in Shani temple’s inner sanctum would result in increase of rape incidents. ”Women should not feel

triumphant about visiting the sanctum sanctorum of Shani Shingnapur temple in Maharashtra. They should stop the entire drum beating about what they have done. Worshipping Shani will bring ill luck to them and give rise to crimes against them like rape,” he said.
