Oldman, Le Bon pay tribute to Bowie on 70th birth anniversary

London: Actor-musician Gary Oldman and Duran frontman Simon Le Bon paid a musical tribute to legendary singer David Bowie on his 70th birth anniversary.

The duo took to the stage to honour the late music icon, who died in January last year after battling cancer, at a charity concert, reported Femalefirst.

Crowds gathered outside the O2 Academy music venue in South London, near where Bowie was born, to watch Simon, 58, performing the singer’s 1983 hit “Let’s Dance”.

Bowie’s son Duncan Jones also tweeted pictures of his father at the same evening by captioning them, “Happy birthday (grand) dad. We love you. Goodnight.
