Omar taunts Mehbooba, says people ‘loving’ Governor’s rule in J-K

Budgam : Taking a jibe at PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti for not forming the government in Jammu and Kashmir, former chief minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday said the people are enjoying the Governor’s rule in the state as the coalition government has failed miserably in the last ten months.

“This is the achievement of their ten months rule that the people are loving the Governor rule more than the PDP-BJP Government. I am amazed that the state is being ruled by the Governor and the people are not complaining. This is the evidence that in the last ten months the BJP and PDP Government has failed badly and that is why their absence is not bothering them,” said Omar.

“The absence of a minister is being loved by the people. They say that the ministers haven’t done anything at least the Governor would do something for them,” he added.

Omar further said the PDP chief is of the opinion that the people would plead her to form the government.

“She thinks that she would keep the people waiting for the government and that the people would plead her to form government,” he added.

Governor’s rule has been imposed in Jammu and Kashmir as both the BJP and PDP have been reluctant to form the government post Mufti Mohammad Sayeed’s demise.

Mehbooba, who is facing demands from opposition National Conference (NC) to quickly take over as chief minister or go in for fresh Assembly polls, has so far kept everyone guessing on her next move. (ANI)
