Job Description:

To create a rapid scale business growth, were looking for a eCommerce Business Development Manager to join the team.
This is a new role and will report directly to the Business Development Head. The role will predominantly be dealing with clients external to the business, plus occasionally liaising with existing clients.

Key responsibilities will include:

Responding to inbound leads
Demand generation and outbound sales activity (Inside Sales)
Nurturing existing leads
Cultivating a list of prospects
Helping to close deals according to mutually agreed targets and sales quotas
Fostering relationships on the phone and in person
Creating proposals and preparing documents
Responding to clients and delivering presentations
Working closely with the internal Marketing department

Experience & Knowledge
Youll have an excellent understanding of the marketing/digital side of eCommerce, as well as a fair overview of the technical. This is a business development role, but an appreciation of the key technical aspects of eCommerce is mandatory
Youll have previous work experience in a business development/sales environment, in eCommerce (especially B2B), using web applications or related technology
Youll have either used eCommerce applications, have been part of an eCommerce team, or have experience in the development of eCommerce services

Youll have experience of working with large-scale projects ($200k-500K+)
Youll have experience of working in a specialized eCommerce role, helping clients get to the right solutions for their business

Youll be passionate about eCommerce and follow developments in the eCommerce world avidly
Youll have drive and ambition, as well as enthusiasm
Youll be conscientious
You must be proactive and able to use your own initiative
Youll be tenacious without being a nuisance
You must be comfortable working on your own, able to self-start and self-motivate
Youll have a great telephone manner
You must be able to demonstrate a track record of developing relationships with senior client decision-makers
