This role is for the Head of Marketing for Shiksha. You will be overseeing the entire marketing strategy and execution for brand Shiksha. You will have a team of 2 more people who will work with you. You will directly report to the business head of Shiksha.
Marketings role in Shiksha
The Marketing team is one of the core teams at Shiksha, and works closely with other teams like Product, Sales, customer delivery and Content to drive common business goals.
One key objective for the team is to help grow the user base of Shiksha across courses through online marketing campaigns and other mediums. Beyond that, the marketing team also directly impacts the product by helping acquire user generated content on the site (e.g. college reviews, questions and answers), which is a key focus area for Shiksha. The team also runs revenue generating products like re-targeting campaigns for clients.
The team believes in spending optimally, and has a nose for optimizing every Rupee spent.
The long term objective is to help make the brand be known as the go-to, career, test prep selection & college selection platform, for students considering higher education in India or Abroad.
Overall, there is a healthy exposure to all aspects of marketing and business
Specific Key Responsibilities
-Plan online marketing campaigns to drive lead generation for the platform optimizing on key performance metrics
-Plan and execute yearlong email marketing calendar mapping to user lifecycle
-Track LTV of acquired users through paid campaigns across categories and optimize marketing spends
-Execute app install and retargeting campaigns
2.Drive User Generated Content
-Make Shiksha the trip advisor of colleges by using marketing to source high quality college reviews
-Identify and reach out to influencers in the education industry and make them a part of shiksha community
-Help bring on board campus ambassadors across colleges, who in turn answer queries of prospective students on Shiksha
3.Brand Strategy & Communication
-Maintain consistency in tone of voice and visual elements of the brand across all platforms and stakeholders
-Conduct regular user research and online surveys to identify need gaps, develop domain knowledge and unearth key insights
-Plan creative and strategy of TV campaigns by liaising with external media agencies
-Use social media to promote key Shiksha features using effective targeting and communication
-Work with digital, creative agencies when needed, as well as in-house design team to create striking communication to be used across various online channels for brand and feature promotion
-Ideate with business to create monetization opportunities for the Sales team
-Arm the sales team with effective marketing collaterals
-Plan a regular engagement channel with Shikshas partners to stay top of mind
-Plan education marketing city meets across the country to influence B2B users
5.BTL & Events
-Ensure Shikshas presence in key education events across the country (B2B and B2C)
