Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Design and build test scripts for both web and windows applications using predominantly UFT , Lean FT and Selenium WebDriver (Java / C#) to address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests.
Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope/delivery dates.
Working on diverse application set for automation (complete automation profile)
Required to work on different automation tools available based on need.
Functional and Business Knowledge:
Has general knowledge of QA and metrics architecture processes.
Problem Solving:
Solve a range of routine problems and analyze possible solutions using standard procedures
Solve problems with general oversight or interaction on routine work and with detailed instruction on new work assignments.
Provide some oversight for offshore resources.
Interactions:
Work independently and within own team.
Build internal and external working relationships.
Typical Scope & Impact:
Achieve personal objectives and contribute to the achievement of team objectives.
Work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
Minimum and Preferred Education:
Degree in a computing related discipline; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum and Preferred Experience/Skills:
3 to 5 Years of Proven experience developing automation tests using Languages like VB script, C# and Java
Experience testing on windows (ASP.NET, .NET, SQL), GUI applications, web services and/or web applications (Backend and frontend).
More than 1 year of experience in working with Windows applications.
Deep understanding of object oriented programming, design and debugging skills.
Experience in Agile development methodologies preferable.
Experience in BDD frameworks like Cucumber, Spec Flow will be added advantage.
Experience on Appium is also an added advantage
