The Role
Assist Division Controller in providing timely and accurate financial reporting to Division and Corporate management, assist in preparation of local statutory financials and assist with local law requirements. Post and upload monthly journal entries into SAP accounting system. Maintain various Balance Sheet reconciliations, run various monthly reports in Excel or other reporting software, and prepare and analyze complex data. Monitor and ensure Division’s compliance with the company’s AFE, spending and accounting policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

? Assist in providing timely and accurate financial statements to Division and corporate management, following US GAAP / accrual based accounting principles.
? Maintain accurate balance sheet accounts. Prepare proper account reconciliations.
? Record monthly journal entries in SAP after obtaining proper approvals along with the entire relevant backup.
? Download and analyze data out of SAP and prepare summaries (Pivot, etc.) based on monthly reporting requirements.
? Monitor and ensure Division’s compliance with the company’s AFE, spending and accounting policies and procedures.
? Assist the Division Controller with all internal and external audit requirements on a timely and efficient manner.
? Maintain files as necessary for department recordkeeping.
? Assist audit process with internal auditors.
? Ensure adequate internal controls are in place and in compliance with the procedures established under the Sarbanes Oxley Act.
? Coordinate flow of information from Division to external auditors.
? Monitor compliance with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and related company policies.
? Assist in A/R collections and the monitoring of DSO.
? Work the Division Controller and Division Manager to assist in running the business, including contract review, administration, AR collections, variance explanations, customer billing, budget preparation and forecasting, etc.
? Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy preferably a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
2. Minimum 5 years of Accounting experience
3. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
4. Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Excel and Word.
5. Independent and trustworthy
6. Can work with minimal supervision and under time pressure
7. Preferred experience with SAP.
