Job Description:
Overview:
Will manage and support MarkLogic and our XML content management system, RSuite. This includes the maintenance, extension and tuning of the MarkLogic database as well as supporting and extending RSuite per requirements for publishing and content creation workflows.
Job Responsibilities:
-Support MarkLogic and RSuite system environment: coordinating upgrades, patches, troubleshooting, etc.
-Update, create and implement features, functionality, back end processing and workflows in the RSuite system, per pre-defined business requirements
-Support metadata and content integration with disparate internal, global systems
-Future application development on top of the MarkLogic infrastructure (separate from RSuite, but leveraging content managed by RSuite)
-Researching, analyzing, designing, proposing, and delivering solutions that are appropriate for the business and technology strategies.
-Integrates applications by designing database architecture and server scripting; studying and establishing connectivity with network systems, search engines, and information servers
-Recommends system solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of custom development and purchase alternatives
Qualifications & Experience:
-7+ years of experience as a software developer
-Strong Java skills, including J2EE and XPath/XQuery
-Strong XML development skills: XSD and XSLT is a must
-Web services (SOAP and RESTful) interactions with any Database servers.
-JBoss Developer Studio (or Eclipse based IDE), JBoss Enterprise Application Server
-JBoss SOA-P (v4 or v5)
-Experience in Agile development methodology
-Ability to work independently, with a strong focus on problem solving and identification of systemic issues that can lead to an optimized process or workflow
-Demonsrate a positive attitude and willingness to help resolve a wide range of issues
-Ability to work with various size teams across the organization.
-Publishing experience a plus
