Job Description:
Job Overview: High-Speed SERDES Design Verification Engineer position available in Raleigh, NC. This team is responsible for verification of High-Speed SERDES cores for Qualcomm’s next generation products. Responsibilities: – Work with design team to establish requirements and verification plans. – Develop environments and test benches to thoroughly and efficiently verify the design. – Execute the verification plan; work proactively with design team to close bugs; insure coverage targets are achieved. – Report status to team leadership.
Minimum Qualifications: Skills/Experience:. – Knowledge of Object Oriented programming, data structures, algorithms – Knowledge of HVLs (VERA, e, System Verilog), HDLs (Verilog, VHDL), C/C++ – Experience with HVL methodology (UVM, OVM,) testbench automation, bug tracking, and regression mechanisms . – Verification test planning, coverage-driven verification closure, release methodology and revision control systems – Verification strategies for directed testing, randomization and assertions
Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years of SERDES verification experience – Experience with SERDES IO applications (PCI-Express, SATA, OIF-CEI, 10G+ Ethernet) – Experience with DFE, CDR, calibration and power management algorithms – Experience with environments leveraging Verilog-AMS for mixed signal verification – Experience verifying behaviors associated with jitter and equalization effects
Education: Required: Bachelor’s, Computer Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering. Preferred: Master’s, Computer Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering
