Our company is seeking a talented and experienced Software Support Engineer to join our Technical Support team in Hyderabad, India. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to understand and diagnose complex technical issues, and to work cooperatively in a team-based customer support environment. Magnitude software works with diverse core technologies, including Oracle, Microsoft web services, and Siebel to name a few.
Core Deliverables and Responsibilities
Troubleshoots and develops functionally accurate, technical workarounds for complex software and setup errors encountered by customers or field consultants, which are typically escalated from Tier 1 Support Engineers
Identifies, prioritizes, replicates, diagnoses and resolves user problems in a timely fashion.
Escalates problems requiring more in-depth knowledge to Tier 3 Engineers in order to meet customer service level agreements
Liaison with Engineering for prioritization and correction of software bugs or enhancement requests reported by customers or field consultants

Serve as a mentor to enhance the Oracle technology skills of other Support Engineers, as required

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position Qualifications
Excellent oral and written communicator capable of multi-tasking and managing multiple priorities with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as on a team.
2-4 years of experience working in IT industry.
At least 2 years of techno functional experience in Functional area (Financial, Supply chain, HR etc…) in ERP modules (preferably Business Objects Data Service ETL tool)
2-4 years of experience in writing SQL and PL/SQL
1-2 years of working experience in Data Warehouse product or implementation project
Good Understanding in how to use Business Objects Data Services ETL Tool

Desired Qualifications:

1-2 years working experience in providing technical customer support services to diverse populations is plus.
Knowledge of one BI tool (Business Objects, COGNOS, and Oracle Business Intelligence) is a plus
Education: B. E. / B. Tech, M.E. / M. Tech. / MCA, M.Sc.”
