Job Description:
As an experienced CAD engineer you are expected to develop and apply VLSI engineering methods, theories, techniques in the investigation/solution of technical problems, to define and select new approaches and implementation of CAD software and design specifications and parameters that helps design of EM Intellectual Property (IP).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop/Support Cadence custom flows for physical layout design teams working on 28nm and 16nm FinFET designs
Develop routines and utility programs to aid in the design of IP
Design flow analysis and corrections
Support design teams with help in debugging CAD issue, environment issues, Design Management issues
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a strong desire to learn and explore new technologies. Able to demonstrate good analysis and problem-solving skills, good software skills
5 years of experience in CAD support/methodologies using Cadence/Mentor/Synopsys.
Must have experience in supporting Cadence Virtuoso, Layout tools, Physical verification tools like Calibre.
Experience in supporting FinFET designs is a plus.
Programming/Scripting languages: DFII SKILL, C/Perl/TCL/Ruby/Shell
Must have good knowledge of Unix/Linux OS, Design Management tools (like SVN, ICManage)
Familiarity with EDA tools environment and Flows
Fundamental concept of CMOS, Microelectronics
Good Knowledge of PDK development/verification
