Oppn voice stifled in budget session: Bhatti

Congress leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka today slammed that the government stifled the voice of the opposition in the Assembly during budget session. The budget has no miracles and there is a lot of disparity over budget estimates and expenditure, he fumed.

Accusing the government of failing in all sectors Bhatti said that no suitable allocations made for double bedroom scheme and three acres of land to Dalits and others. The government miserably failed to spend Rs 30000 cr to Rs 40000 cr during last fiscal, the Congress leader charged. Taking strong objection to a proposal to shift Dharna Chowk, he alleged that the government was trying to throttle the voice of political parties and people. No steps have been taken against the fake seed companies, he said.

Referring to the budget, he accused the TRS Government of failing to come up with facts and figures with regard to funds allocated and spent.

Another leader Shabbir Ali expressed surprise as to how the two Telugu States could come up with lakhs of crores of budgets. The budget presented in Telangana Assembly failed to make suitable allocations to the flagship programs including double bedroom scheme and others, he charged. The budget comprises jugglery of figures and only to misguide the people Ali fumed. He took exception to the government for obtaining Rs 12000 cr loans in two years and failed to give free power as officials are fixing meters for collecting electricity charges.
