Oppn will be submerged on completion of projects: Harish

Irrigation Minister, T Harish Rao took a jibe at the opposition Congress and Telugu Desam party for indulging in vague comments on projects. The Opposition parties are caught in the grip of fear that they will be buried under waters if the irrigation projects are completed on time.

Since the projects are being completed on a war footing the Opposition was getting jittery and envious, he alleged. While the entire nation appreciated the power point presentation of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, the Opposition leaders, who stayed away from the House, were making foolish comments by sitting in front of idiot boxes, he rebuked. “Just for politics sake, they are making such wild allegations and they would lose the status of main Opposition in the Assembly”, he said.

The Opposition leaders are afraid of exposure of their misdeeds and irregularities during previous government and skipped the KCR’s PPP, he charged. He asked whether there was any better platform than the Assembly to question and react on the PPP. Harish Rao also said the Opposition leaders were feeling that they would gain politically by making foolish comments on the irrigation projects. The government was determined to complete the pending projects and irrigate one crore ayacut in the State, Harish said and asserted, “We will complete Palamur lift scheme to irrigate 10 lakh acres and Devadula to irrigate six lakh acres soon.
