Oracle asked to help people evicted for its new Texas campus

New Delhi: As Oracle unveiled its plan recently to construct a next-generation technology campus in Austin, Texas, around 100 low-income families have appealed to the American global computer technology corporation to assist them in rehabilitation.

According to The PCWorld, people were hastily evicted this summer from an apartment complex on the land in order to make it available for the sale to Oracle.

Several people even gathered near the site in protest.

To keep pace with rapid cloud growth, Oracle unveiled plans to construct a next-generation technology campus in Austin, Texas, earlier this week.

The company also confirmed that it will purchase housing for employees to live affordably and conveniently nearby.

The move will expand Oracle’s Austin staff by more than 50 percent over the next few years.(ANI)
