Orientation program held on Myanmar Refugees


An Orientation Program on Myanmar Refugees staying under Cyberabad police limits was organized with Sachithananda Valan, Associative Repatriation officer of UNHCR, NGO Mazer Hussain of COVA and his team, T.V. Shasidhar Reddy, Joint Commissioner of Police, A.R. Srinivas, DCP, Shamshabad and other police officers of Cyberabad Police Commissionerate on Tuesday.

The Joint Commissioner of Police reviewed the progress made on the earlier instructions given by C.V. Anand, Commissioner of Police on 1,725 refugees. He directed the UNHCR officials to speed up the issuing of UNHCR Cards to Refugees staying in the limits of Cyberabad Commissionerate. The need for documentation of Myanmar Refugees was stressed.
