OU students protest against high fees in private schools

Hyderabad: Osmania University students have launched a massive protest against the private managements of schools who collect huge fees from the students in the form of donations, purpose of books, uniforms and other articles. The angry students entered Sri Chaitanya School located at Sitaphal Mandi.

The members of Joint Action Committee of Student of OU told that they receive information that besides additional fees, books and uniforms are also being sold in this school. After entry of students, panic prevailed in the area. A huge contingent of police arrived at the school. They took the members of Joint Action Committee of Students of OU into police custody as a precautionary measure. Mr. Ashok Reddy, Inspector of Police, OU told that the students were very irritated. They demanded the Govt. to take stern action against those schools who are collecting additional fees, otherwise the agitation would be further intensified.
