Overall security measures for IT Corridor discussed

Hyderabad: A security review meeting for the IT Corridor was held at the Cyberabad Police Commissioner’s office on Tuesday to discuss and understand the extent of security aspects and analysis in the respective organizations and details on review processes taken up by the corresponding companies in the advent of situations erupting in different scenarios.
The meeting was chaired by Joint Commissioner of Police Sashidhar Reddy, IPS, and modulated by Kartikeya Sharma, IPS, DCP Madhapur. Police personnel and IT area SHOs as well as security heads of IT industry, IT Parks and Business School were present. The meeting also covered various preventive measures that can be adopted and agreed upon to be implemented.
Speaking on the occasion, Sashidhar Reddy stressed the need for more security control mechanisms in the organization, including access control and validation of the private security agencies which have to be checked in a periodical manner. Kartikeya also emphasized on comprehensive data collection that is underway to be able to mitigate any situation by the Cyberabad Police in an effective manner. The DCP also said the commissioning of the Emergency Responsive Program (ERP) processes in the IT corridor is underway.
Speaking from the SCSC perspective, Bharani Kumar Aroll, SCSC Secretary, called the attention to the aspect of SCSC focusing on the safety and security related to the IT corridor, by way of spending about 45% of their funds towards all initiatives of safety and security. Aroll asked the representatives to share the best practices along with the fellow industry member companies to strengthen the overall security measures. (NSS)
