Owaisi urges Telangana government to help Home Guard

Hyderabad: Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi on Monday urged the Telangana government to help a Home Guard, who also plies auto-rickshaw, to meet expenses for education of his five children.

Owaisi wrote a letter to Secretary of the Minorities Welfare Department, urging him to sanction scholarship for the children of Jaweed Khan, a resident of Tadbun area in the old city of Hyderabad.

As the salary he draws as Home Guard is not sufficient to meet the educational expenses of his four daughters and a son, he plies auto-rickshaw after duty hours to earn some extra money.

Jaweed is keen to ensure that all his children get good education. His eldest daughter Shaheen Fatime is a graduate and is appearing for Chartered Accountant’s examination. Three other daughters and a son are studying in school.

Jaweed met Owaisi on Monday at Darussalam, the headquarters of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM). The party chief spoke to Secretary, Minorities Welfare, Omer Jaleel and also wrote a letter to him on the matter.
