Pak Govt. looking for Sindh governor’s replacement

Karachi [Pakistan]: The Pakistan government is searching for a replacement for the Sindh governor as retired Justice Saeed-uz-Zaman Siddiqui health is not ‘significantly’ improving.

The longest-serving governor, Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan, was replaced by Justice Siddiqui in the second week of November but due to health problems he was shifted to a hospital and did not stay at Governor House for long, reports the Dawn.

Justice Siddiqui was admitted to hospital for the treatment of chest congestion and related disorders.

The governor, after his release from the hospital, is currently under a constant care of a medical team at the Governor House.

According to officials, a technocrat or a former judge is being looked at by the government for the governor’s post. (ANI)
