Palestinians still extend hand for real peace process: Abbas

President Mahmoud Abbas on Wednesday said the Palestinians are still extending their hands for a real peace process with Israel, based on their “deep belief of co-existence and denouncing violence”.

Addressing his countrymen on the occasion of an Islamic holiday coinciding on Thursday, the Palestinian president said the peace process should reach a final agreement that ensures the implementation of the two-state solution and the establishment of the Palestinian state on the lands occupied in 1967 with east Jerusalem as its capital, Xinhua reported.

In a message published by the official Palestinian news agency WAFA, Abbas stressed on the need to have a fair solution to the refugees issue on the basis of the Arab peace initiative and the international legitimacy decisions, as well as releasing all detainees in Israeli jails.
